Ausgold’s Paterson project area is situated approximately 350 km southeast of Port Hedland and only 10km south of the Nifty copper mine (39Mt @ 2.5% Cu).
The Throssell Group geological unit within the Paterson region is known to host a number of significant copper deposits immediately north of the company’s tenement. Copper mineralisation is structurally-controlled with the Southwest Thrust interpreted as the transportation mechanism of the mineralised fluids. Ausgold’s Paterson project covers >30km of this prospective Southwest Thrust.
